We are looking for a friendly, motivated, and dependable person to join our growing Outdoor Power Equipment (OPE) Department. As one of our fastest-growing departments, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, learning about equipment, problem solving, and being part of a fast-paced team. The ideal candidate has knowledge of outdoor power equipment, equipment parts, and rental equipment or, just as importantly, a strong interest and willingness to learn. This role combines customer service, parts support and sales, equipment sales and rental, and coordination with our service advisors and technicians.

This is a customer-focused position with a variety of responsibilities. Your day may include:

• Asking questions and listening to customers to understand their equipment needs and recommend appropriate products and solutions that best fits their applications, preferences, and budget
• Creating work orders and coordinating customer equipment repairs
• Helping customers choose the right lawn and outdoor power equipment for their needs
• Cleaning, organizing, stocking, and maintaining equipment, parts, displays, and rental areas
• Explaining equipment features, options, and financing
• Processing equipment and parts sales through our POS system
• Supporting rental transactions, including customer assistance, equipment check-in/check-out, and related documentation
• Answering phone calls and assisting customers with questions
• Using point-of-sale systems, computers, vendor lookup tools, and store resources to accurately assist customers
• Working closely with our technicians, parts team, and sales staff
• Following up with customers and helping ensure a positive experience from rental or purchase through equipment return or service
• Keeping the parts counter and work area clean, organized, and professional
• Following all company policies and procedures, including safety and equipment-handling requirements

Physical requirements of the job include:

• Frequently lifting and carrying equipment and parts weighing up to 50 lbs; occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs with assistance
• Performing repetitive motions such as bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching while stocking, organizing, assembling, or assisting customers
• Using hands for fine manipulation of small parts throughout the shift, as well as handling merchandise, operating computers, processing transactions, and looking up parts information
• Ability to safely move (pushing, pulling, lifting) equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, generators) across the shop, sales floor, or outdoor surfaces, with assistance when needed
• Maintain the ability to communicate safely, clearly, and effectively with customers, technicians, parts personnel, and other team members in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to perform these duties with or without reasonable accommodation

• Enjoys working with customers and providing excellent customer service
• Is dependable, organized, and able to handle multiple priorities
• Communicates well and is comfortable talking with customers in-person and on the phone
• Is comfortable using computers and learning new software and systems
• Has experience or interest in outdoor power equipment, lawn and garden equipment, small engines, or related products
• Enjoys learning and solving problems
• Works well as part of a team
